The new wave of forward-thinking, out of this world content creators, combining multiple skills, disciplines & ideas to birth interactive media that tackle social issues through African identity & narratives that resonate globally.
The company’s vision is to create games that have an impact on its players’ lives and create value in their communities. Its mission is to Gamify everything until there is nothing left by always creating value and changing minds.
The company supports initiatives such as #EveryGamerCounts- This is a gaming project of the Goethe-Institut Johannesburg that promotes diversity and equality in and with the gaming industry. #EveryGamerCounts aims to strengthen the inclusion, networking and visibility of underrepresented groups in the South African gaming scene and creates platforms that put the issue of diversity up for discussion.
The company also hosts Spacesalad games night, which was located at a now foreclosed Mangrove in Braamfontein, Cnr Smit St, 2 De Beer St. SpaceSalad Studios hosts weekly game night sessions where it showcases its up and coming games as well as giving platform to any local indie gaming studio to come showcase their games to potential clients and customers.
Apart from creating games SpaceSalad Studios dedicates its time to the community as well. These community workshops are created to grow the knowledge of gaming in the African continent as well as business in gaming and how to manage the rest that comes with this career choice.
