10 South African Entrepreneurs Who Made The Forbes List. These are the South African entrepreneurs who that have made significant impact in their respective industries and have been recognised by Forbes. Forbes is an American business magazine founded by B. C. Forbes in 1917 and owned by Hong Kong-based investment group Integrated Whale Media Investments since 2014. Its chairperson and editor-in-chief is Steve Forbes. It is best known for its lists, which rank billionaires and top 30 individuals under 30. Below are some of the South African entrepreneurs who made the lists.

Nadav Ossendryver

Nadav is on Forbes’ most promising entrepreneurs list. Nadav was Forbes Africa’s youngest-ever member of the 30 Under 30 list. He is the CEO and founder of Latest Sightings, an online, real-time, wildlife spotting service for visitors to the Kruger National Park.

Ricardo Lognath

He is the co-founder of Omninela Medical, a proudly South African health tech start-up, and Health Online Store, Omninela.co.za. The company believes that you should be living without an inability and embraces technology to assist us to live longer and healthier.

Cayley Jorgensen

Cayley Jorgensen is the founder of Ingage Support, she combines her passion for public speaking, mental health and social media to help all South Africans, one small step at a time. Her main focus is creating awareness for mental health and educating parents, teachers, and learners on the mental health pressures of today’s world, as well as resources and techniques to understand and cope better.

Johann Rupert

Johann Peter Rupert is a South African billionaire businessman, who is the eldest son of business tycoon Anton Rupert and his wife Huberte. He is the chairman of the Swiss-based luxury-goods company Richemont and the South Africa-based company Remgro. Since April 2010, he has been the CEO of Compagnie Financiere Richemont. Rupert and family were ranked the richest in South Africa on the 2023 Forbes list, with an estimated net worth of US$10.7 billion.

Nicholas F. Oppenheimer

Nicholas F. Oppenheimer is a South African billionaire businessman. He was formerly the chairman of De Beers diamond mining company and of its subsidiary, the Diamond Trading Company, and former deputy chairman of Anglo American. He was ranked as the richest person in South Africa on Forbes list of The World’s Billionaires for 2019, with a fortune reported as US$7.3 billion and, again, on its 2020 list, with a reported fortune of US$7.6 billion in August 2020.

Daniel Novitzkas

Daniel Novitzkas is the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Specno, he is a serial entrepreneur on a mission to build the worlds greatest innovation agency and teach its frameworks to over a million entrepreneurs by 2030.

Patrice Tlhopane Motsepe is a South African billionaire businessman and football administrator. Since March 2021, he has been president of the Confederation of African Football. He is the founder and executive chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, which has interests in gold, ferrous metals, base metals, and platinum. In May 2024, Motsepe was ranked as the 1,175th-wealthiest person in the world by Forbes, with a reported fortune of US$2.9 billion.
