For the first time, Amazon South Africa launches Black Friday Sale

For the first time, Amazon South Africa launches Black Friday Sale. For the first time in South Africa, Amazon.co.za has launched its Early Black Friday Sale store where customers can shop thousands of amazing deals anywhere, anytime during November with the Amazon App or online through their mobile or desktop browser.

New Black Friday deals will drop throughout the month, with some deals on offer for only 24 hours, so don’t miss out! From gadgets and electronics, to much-loved kids toys, must-have home and kitchen items, and beauty favourites, customers will find a wide selection of deals from top international brands like Apple, Sony and Garnier as well as local brands like Defy, Mellerware, and Swiitch Beauty, to further support South African businesses.

From 1 November to 2 December, including Black Friday and Cyber Monday, customers will find great deals on thousands of products with some discounts of up to 50% off.

“At Amazon, we believe joy is shared and that’s why we provide value to our customers over more than simply one day in the year. As this is the first year we will be participating in Black Friday, we have worked hard to listen to and learn from our South African customers. We have seen a growing trend of customers doing their holiday gift shopping early to get ahead of the year-end rush. We’ve launched an Early Black Friday store for the month of November to make sure our customers get the opportunity to shop even better deals every day,” said Robert Koen, Managing Director Amazon Sub-Saharan Africa.

South African customers can shop from thousands of items eligible for free standard delivery on items shipped by Amazon. For added customer convenience, Amazon has also launched extended delivery hours in Johannesburg and Cape Town, with deliveries now being made to 8pm during the busy Black Friday and festive shopping period.

For customers who prefer to pick up their packages when it’s convenient for them, Amazon has over 3,000 pickup points strategically located around the country, offering customers a safe and secure way to receive Amazon packages near them. To further ensure a convenient and trusted shopping experience, Amazon.co.za offers hassle-free returns within 30 days via convenient options, including home pickup and self-drop. Additionally, customer support is provided 24/7 via phone, email, and live chat.

“With thousands of international and local products available on Amazon.co.za, we know customers will find a wide selection from every day essentials to the latest must-have gift options. And because we’re always looking for ways to bring more value to customers, we’re offering free delivery with extended delivery hours, so customers can shop with confidence knowing that most items bought now through to 23 December, will be delivered before Christmas,” concludes Koen.
