Sibanye-Stillwater to Join A2X as Secondary Listing Takes Effect

Sibanye-Stillwater to Join A2X as Secondary Listing Takes Effect. Global mining and metals processing group Sibanye-Stillwater Limited has been approved for a secondary listing on A2X Markets, with its shares scheduled to become available for trading on the platform from 6 October 2026.

The listing will allow Sibanye-Stillwater shares to trade on A2X while the company retains its existing listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).

A2X CEO Kevin Brady welcomed Sibanye-Stillwater to the exchange, saying the listing reflects growing confidence among issuers in A2X as a secondary market.

The addition of Sibanye-Stillwater will bring the number of instruments available for trading on A2X to 167. This includes 31 companies that are constituents of the FTSE/JSE Top 40, with the combined market capitalisation of the listed instruments exceeding R12 trillion.

Sibanye-Stillwater joins several other mining companies with secondary listings on A2X, including Gold Fields, Impala Platinum, Harmony and AngloGold Ashanti.

The mining group has operations across Southern Africa, North America, Europe and Australia, as well as projects and investments spanning five continents.

Sibanye-Stillwater is among the world’s largest producers and refiners of platinum group metals and is also a major gold producer.

The company has expanded its activities beyond these commodities to include mining and processing battery metals. It has also increased its exposure to the circular economy through recycling and secondary-mining activities internationally.

The secondary listing on A2X will not affect Sibanye-Stillwater’s issued share capital, and the company will continue to maintain its JSE listing.

A2X operates as a regulated exchange under the Financial Markets Act and is regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the Prudential Authority of the South African Reserve Bank.

The A2X listing will provide an additional trading venue for Sibanye-Stillwater shares from 6 October, while the company maintains its existing presence on the JSE.
