Emirates Set To Resume Flights In October

The effects of the corona virus pandemic greatly affected airline company, Emirates for a period of six months. However, the tides are about to turn, as the airline recently announced the resumption of its operations in October 2020, for flights to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Harare and Mauritius.

Emirates will make a grand comeback, as its global reach has grown to 92 destinations, whilst in Africa, 19 cities will be covered. From 1 October 2020, flights from Johannesburg , Cape Town and Harare will be in full operation and on 4 October, Durban will also resume its flights and tagging along is Mauritius on 3 October 2020.

The announcement from Emirates reads as follows:

“Customers flying in and out of Emirates, three South African gateways can safely connect to Dubai and to an array of onwards connections to Europe, the Far East, Middle East, West Asia and Australia.”

In the event that customers are diagnosed with COVID-19, during their travel on any Emirates flights, the airline is committed to covering the medical costs. The cover will be effective until 31 December 2020.

”This means Emirates customers can continue to benefit from the added assurance of this cover, even if they travel onwards to another city after arriving at their Emirates destination.” Emirates said
