In an interview with Heavy Chef, founder of Guerilla Cameron Naidoo explained the importance of being unique when marketing a business. He mentioned that this brings the difference between companies that succeed and those that don’t.

He said, “You know, when you are writing your brand story, you got to be authentic, yes you can have references, yes I would like my business to be like so and so but don’t copy it, like be authentic. In your brand story you will write an ethos, my ethos is ‘We break rules’, that’s Guerilla’s thing, we break rules, when you walk into our office the vision is create a vision, it’s not to be the world’s greatest agency, in that ethos you are going to find yourself, and that’s where your identity starts, don’t copy it.”

This is a way that business can achieve maximum results, how a business brands itself is very important as the public will judge the business based on how it appears in the public. Naidoo explains the how important it is for a business’ brand to be unique in order for it to be distinct from its competitors. This way the business increases its chances of being recognised by a lot of customers. Naidoo is the founder of Guerilla which is a anti-traditional creative tech agency that has a sole purpose to battle ordinariness and defy societal beliefs. It believes that out the box creative thoughts and processes will be deconstructed from time to time.
