Menspoke Atelier is a brand of African heritage, it can be made anywhere in Africa with anyone who shares the same love for artistry as the brand. The company believes in collaboration and craftsmanship, formerly a bespoke shirts brand over the years it has diversified its bespoke offering to suits, leather jackets and accessories.

The company perfected and re-defined its tailoring technique which it now calls ” Rockstar tailoring” which like rock music doesn’t conform to specific tailoring style, its tailoring techniques are creative, artistic and expressive with no restrictions. Arnold Sibanda is the head sartor and creative director at Menspoke Atelier, a creative at heart, music enthusiast, pan-Africanist and one of the pioneers of the Afrodandy movement in Africa. “Dandyism” has had a huge influence on his career as a designer and creative director, Sibanda believes that people are responsible of writing their own stories and changing the narrative about Africa.

The company houses 3 distinctive brands at its Atelier, Menspoke Bespoke garments, RE-Menspoke, and The Black Male Positivity Project. It started of making bespoke shirts in Johannesburg purely because of the love it had for Savile-row tailoring and textiles. The company has since perfected and re-defined its tailoring techniques inventing a new creative, artistic and expressive technique known as “Rockstar tailoring”, it offers a wide range of tailored garments from shirts, suits, leather jackets to accessories.

RE-Menspoke is the company’s approach to sustainable fashion or slow fashion. Its objective is to make a positive impact to industry, the planet and community. Menspoke Atelier believes in re-using textiles and re-designing vintage garments to preserve vintage aesthetics, it also extends to social justice. Through The Black Male Positivity Project; the company wants to Inspire, celebrate, and empower black males through fashion and its campaigns aimed at changing the narrative, creating positive images of Black men and raising funds with its t-shirt projects to assist disadvantage communities.
