German Start-Up Talesun Solar Announces Its Partnership With ARTsolar To Develop SA’s Market Through Product Localisation. German startup Talesun Solar has announced its partnership with ARTsolar to develop the South African market through product localisation. With this partnership the companies seek to make solar energy a more common energy source in the country.

“As patriotic industrialists, the renewed interest in the local PV manufacturing industry has provided a long-awaited new ray of hope for the renewable energy sector and local manufacturing as a whole. We have been awaiting such commitment for the past 12 years and always held the belief that this sector will receive the impetus and support of Government. With such continued support we anticipate implementing a second 500MW capacity line in the near future.” Eshu Seevnarayan – ARTsolar’s Chairman told PR Newswire.

ARTsolar was established in 2010 in Durban, South Africa, and remains one of the pioneers of the South African Photovoltaic (PV) solar panel manufacturing industry. The company is 100% locally owned and is currently the only South African PV manufacturer that specialises in high volume production for the Utility Scale PV farms. Its production facility is fully capable of laminating, testing and framing PV modules, with a capacity up to 300MW annually.

Talesun Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhongli Group, was founded in 2010. Through more than 10 years of innovation and development, it has become one of the global Top 10 photovoltaic manufacturers, Tier 1 module supplier in Bloomberg Ranking, one of China’s largest photovoltaic power station developers, and a first-class leading enterprise among China’s photovoltaic manufacturers.

Its downstream business includes solar photovoltaic project development, design, EPC construction, operation & maintenance and one-stop system integration solutions for customers. In 2015, the Company innovated and launched “Intelligent Photovoltaic+ Sci-tech Agriculture and PV Farms in Poor Villages”, thus becoming a leader in global solar power industry.
