Nomzamo Mbatha Reflects On Her Journey As The Cotton On Foundation Ambassador

Nomzamo Mbatha Reflects On Her Journey As The Cotton On Foundation Ambassador. South African actress and philanthropist Nomzamo Mbatha tool to Instagram to reflect on her partnership with The Cotton On Foundation as a brand ambassador.

The post read, “The journey I’ve walked with @CottonOn @Cottonon_Africa @cottononfoundation has been very heartwarming & rewarding, and once again, this incredible organization has made me proud. They have taken their commitment to sustainability and purpose-led business even further, pledging to Do Good in all areas of their businesses. Cemented in The Good Report, its inaugural impact report, the retailer has made its pledge public, showcasing how far they have come in their 30-year journey and where they are headed. Last year, The Cotton On Group partnered with UNICEF, helping deliver more than one million Covid-19 vaccines to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, and I was thrilled to be part of this project.”

The post continued to say, “The group has set a target to be carbon neutral across its entire operations by 2030, achieving 84% of its 2023 target to wash 100% of its denim using water reduction processes, and significantly reduced the use of plastics across its operations. Cotton On also expanded its Africa Cotton program into Mozambique to positively impact the lives of more farmers in this area, launching its first ever range of t-shirts made from the single-origin Africa Cotton. Now, The Good Report is its blueprint to contribute to achieving a better and more sustainable future for all.”

Mbatha believes that the company wants to genuinely help people as people have been supporting it and have helped it grow to become the big corporation it is. With strategic partnerships with organisations like UNICEF, Mbatha makes a great fit for the foundation as it represents what she stands her in her own right as a Human Rights activist.
