Audi And Partners Gridcars And Rubicon Expand EV Chargers Across South Africa. Audi South Africa took to LinkedIn to announce that it along with its partners GridCars and Rubicon, it has expanded its EV chargers across South Africa.

The post read, “Audi South Africa has further progressed its investment in charging technology by installing 43 additional charging stations. Audi and partners GridCars and Rubicon have now installed 76 fast and ultra-fast EV chargers across South Africa.The latest rollout includes the very first DC 200kW ultra-fast charger in South Africa, which is installed at the largest shopping mall ever built in a single phase – Mall of Africa – enabling compatible cars to ultra-fast charge. The EV battery of an e-tron GT can be recharged within 15 minutes.”

Head of Audi South Africa, Sascha Sauer, says “The rollout of our second phase of EV charging stations is the next step in realising our vision of ‘Future is an Attitude’. EVs are the future of mobility. We’re investing not just in infrastructure but in helping make electric mobility easier, more comfortable and more accessible for EV users and to grow the market in South Africa. By nearly trebling the number of EV charging stations in our network with the latest phase of installations, we’re demonstrating our commitment to helping take SA into the future of mobility.”
