Hloolo’s Launch Set To Transform The Landscape For Green SMEs
Hloolo’s Launch Set To Transform The Landscape For Green SMEs. Nedbank is proud to partner with Fetola to launch Hloolo, an innovative and ground-breaking platform that prepares Green small and medium-sized enterprises to be investment-ready. The platform also facilitates access to investment communities, resources and markets for business growth.
This collaborative and user-driven online platform makes easy access and engagement between verified green technologies and innovations possible. Cross-sector collaboration, the fostering of an ecosystem of interested impact investors and market offtakes are envisaged as secondary value offerings.
The platform is thrilled to announce Edeline Mutize of Koshai Kollection as the first winner among the 10 SMEs that pitched their circular economy/green business ideas to a panel of judges. The audience was captivated by her innovative approach!
Edeline’s business, based in Cape Town, stood out with its powerful model. She repurposes trees cut down by property developers, construction sector, residential renovators, and fallen trees from the streets to create beautiful, high-quality furniture. Her business model incentivizes the ecosystem and people to bring these cut trees to her, transforming them into stunning pieces.
This prize money will help Edeline purchase a new truck and expand her workspace, furthering her impact and growth. At the event, Nedbank decided to top up the prize money by R200k resulting in the winner’s prize jumping from R50k to R150k.
This new digital platform is dedicated to bridging the gap between green businesses and the world of finance, knowledge, and market opportunities. Powered by Fetola, Hloolo is the catalyst for growth and green innovation, empowering SMEs through collaboration and innovation to drive sustainable development.
