GetWorth Raises R100 000 For GRIT

GetWorth Raises R100 000 For GRIT. GetWorth is excited to announce that through their July and August campaign, they successfully raised R100,000 in support of GRIT – Gender Rights in Tech (formerly Kwanele), an NGO dedicated to combating gender-based violence (GBV) in South Africa.

In addition to the funds raised, they’ve also seen a record number of downloads for the GRIT app – 9000+ downloads during the fundraising period. The app provides essential tools for survivors of GBV, such as an emergency panic button, secure evidence storage, and access to critical resources like counselling and legal aid.

Leonora Tima, CEO and Founder of GRIT expressed her gratitude: “We are so grateful to getWorth for their dedication to our work. Because of their contribution, we are able to make sure that more women have access to our lifesaving technology. Their team is so amazing to work with and we would not be able to do what we do without partners like them. Their partnership not only supports us financially but helps us get the app into the hands of people who need it most.”

“We’re proud of this milestone,” said Jamie Surkont, Co-founder and CEO of getWorth. “Our customers’ support has not only made a tangible financial difference but also helped expand the reach of life-saving tech for survivors.”

GRIT – Gender Rights in Tech – is a leading NGO using innovative technology to improve access to justice and support for survivors of gender-based violence. The GRIT (Kwanele) app equips users with critical resources for reporting, safety, and legal guidance.
