South African Actress Linda Mtoba Announced As The Official Brand Ambassador For Edgars Fashion. Being a brand ambassador requires ambassadors to advertise and endorse a certain business and its products. The relationship between the brand and the ambassador needs to be genuine thus it will be represented fully.

South African actress and entrepreneur Linda Mtoba took to Twitter to announce that she is the official brand ambassador for Edgars Fashion. This partnership means that Mtoba will be marketing the products of the store and also be part of its campaigns. The post read, “I’m proud to announce that I am the official brand ambassador for @EdgarsFashion. What an honor to be part of a brand that has been a part our lives for so many years. This is only beginning. Celanithi Hooray #EdgarsFashion”

This type of partnership is beneficial to both parties as they are able to reap the rewards of either a campaign they do or products they sell. The brand will gain exposure to the ambassador’s audience since they have a huge following. Mtoba will benefit from this type of partnership through the payments that she will receive. These days brands are willing to pay lots of money in order to get online influencers to advertise their products or campaigns, this is because social media has become a platform that has change the way people interact with each other or brands. So investing in social media influencers means that-that particular brand will receive a lot of social media marketing, which could lead to the increase in sales.

Edgars is a Johannesburg-based chain of stores, nearly all in Southern Africa, variously described as a specialty department store or simply as stores selling clothing, shoes, homeware & beauty products. The chain has just over 200 stores as of July 2020, with multiple stores in South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana as well as in the capital cities of eSwatini (Swaziland), Lesotho, and Ghana. Mtoba partnering with such as big brand means that they trust her fashion sense and her business mindset, this is fitting as Mtoba is not new to the fashion industry as she has also recently established her own kid’s clothing brand called ‘Bean Wear’.
