  1. Sello Moloko has a wealth of business experience gained over more than 25 years in financial services.
  2. Outside of Thesele, Sello holds positions as independent non-executive Chairman of both Sibanye-Stillwater Limited and General Reinsurance Africa.
  3.  He also currently serves on the boards of Prudential Investment Managers, Telkom and JSE listed Stor-Age REIT Limited.
  4. Sello has previously served on the boards of several listed companies including Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited, Gold Fields Limited, Makalani Holdings Limited, Acucap Properties Limited and Sycom Property Fund.
  5. He is the former CEO of Old Mutual Asset Managers and former deputy CEO of Capital Alliance Asset Managers, firms he initially joined as a senior portfolio manager and an analyst, respectively.
  6. Sello is a trustee of the UCT Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Foundation where he also chairs the Investment Committee.
  7. He was the national president of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) from 2005 to 2007.
  8. In 2003, ABSIP presented him with the Financial Services Pioneer Award in recognition of his achievements in the field of investment management. 
  9. Deeds documents show that Moloko and his wife, Keneilwe, paid R18.25 million for a four-bedroom villa in Fresnaye – complete with a pool overlooking the Atlantic seaboard – next door to the R30 million swathe of land where Ramaphosa’s newest residence is being built.
  10. Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa’s new neighbour in a posh Cape Town suburb at the foot of Lion’s Head is none other than his old work associate, business mogul Sello Moloko.
