RapidDeploy started in Cape Town, South Africa by Steven Raucher who is the CEO and Brett Meyerowitz who serves as the CTO in 2014. The company wanted to find better ways for emergency service agencies to provide accurate, useful information to Telecommunicators and First Responders as it is vital information that is needed to provide a better service for the community. Technology is at the centre of how the public health safety agencies to their jobs on a daily basis.

Now we are driving further progress in public safety by enabling the most effective, efficient and data-driven emergency response as the leader in United Critical Response.” The company caters to its customers needs and delivers solutions that are in collaboration them.
The company managed to secure an investment of $12 million in a Series-A round from US venture capital fund Great Point Ventures and innovation fund Samsung Next in 2019. The startup was named the Microsoft US partner of the Year for Government Industry in June 2019 and in October it was awarded the Innovator of the Year award by YTexas. It also signed a contract with American company AT&T which operates the country’s 911 service, and has managed to open an office in Austin Texas and employing 35 people.
