These SA Entrepreneurs Turned Their Loss Into An Innovative App That Helps South Africans Arrange A Funeral From A-Z!

Imbewu Funerals app helps South Africans with funeral arrangement in their time of need. Imbewu Funerals app allows South Africans to gain access to many added services like Catering, tents and chairs, priests, livestock, tombstones, flowers, and wreaths and many more. The platforms recently started offering funeral covers to its signed-up users as well.

Imbewu funerals was established by brothers Mordecai and Michael Pitela and their mentor Henry Dubula. In 2010 and 2011 we lost both parents, and in 2011 had to arrange for the funeral of our father a year after burying our mother both of whom worked for Avbob Kempton Park.

We had to quickly grow up and learn to arrange a funeral with everything that is needed, and we found the experience very stressful and costly as a lot of traveling is required to get everything, and this is not good for a grieving person, as this is the time to grieve.

After many business attempts in other sectors, we shared our idea with our long-time business colleague and mentor Mr Henry Dubula, who loved the idea and joined us in our mission to make the process of Funeral Arrangements easy and seamless with convenience.

Our app already has over 1000 downloads and we work with reputable funeral homes who serve as our service providers to deliver the promise of making funeral ARRANGEMENTS convenient during a very difficult time.

We believe our story is that of overcoming past challenges with innovative solutions. One of those features is to offer counselling also to users who need someone to speak time after the loss of a loved one.
