Entrepreneurial Pitching Competition Engen Pitch and Polish Opens 2021 Applications! Entrepreneurial pitching competition and workshop programme Engen Pitch & Polish is back, hosted in partnership with Engen Petroleum, Nedbank and Raizcorp, which is an incubator in Africa. The new digital format will be streamed live on the Pitch & Polish website twice a week for seven weeks.

ENGEN Pitch & Polish is a national workshop and competition programme where entrepreneurs get to spend the day in a fun-filled learning environment receiving expert guidance on how to pitch their business or their business idea effectively. The workshops are free and open to anyone who wants to spend their day learning.

ENGEN Pitch & Polish is also going digital, after celebrating its tenth year in 2019, it has decided it’s time to expand the programme by breaking geographical boundaries and giving everyone across the country the chance to learn and compete. No matter where the entrepreneur is in South Africa, they can enter the ENGEN Pitch & Polish competition or watch and learn online.

Engen Petroleum is a South African oil company focusing on the downstream refined petroleum products market and related businesses. The company’s core functions are the refining of crude oil, the marketing of primary refined petroleum products and the provision of convenience services via an extensive retail network.

“Over four rounds of competition, 16 contestants will be whittled down to the final two. The overall winner will walk away with prizes to the value of R1 million! This prize is split into R650 000 in cash paid out over two years as the winner achieves the business milestones laid out in the winning pitch, and a bursary of R350 000 for a full two-year, high-touch Raizcorp incubation programme. The runner-up will receive R100 000 in cash, and the second runner-up R50 000,” Raizcorp told Newsline.

To enter, you have to have a registered business and enter online at Entries close on May 31.
