Founded in 2011 as Matase Power Systems and as an Enterprise Development initiative of New Way Power, an enX Group company, Matase Industrial Solutions has evolved to become a major industrial solutions provider across various industries ranging from mining, construction, telecoms to retail, residential and others.
The company has also changed from supplying only standby generators to supplying other products core to the running of industries such as Lubricants, HP hose, dewatering pumps, fasteners and others. Matase Industrial Solutions’s customer base has grown to include Kusile Power Station Civil works where the company has more than 4000kva of prime power generators since 2012, Exxaro, Eskom, Tronox, City of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg and many other national and well known customers.
Matase Industrial Solutions is 100% black owned, 53% black youth owned, 38% black woman owned 53% of Matase Industrial Solutions is owned by the youth and as a result contributes to the participation of young people in major economic activities. Being a beneficiary of empowerment programmes, Matase is committed to the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and is rated BBBEE Level 1 by Empowerdex.
The company is wholly black managed and is committed to processes aimed at improving the sustainability of black enterprises, improving black people’s skills and contributing to the participation of young black women, rural people and people with disabilities in the industries in which it operates by designing and implementing strategies aimed at realising these commitments. All products supplied by Matase Industrial Solutions are either fully manufactured or significantly beneficiated locally and contribute immensely to local enterprise development and employment creation.
