SwiftVEE Partners With Old Mutual To Launch VeeSure. South African agritecth start-up, SwiftVEE has partnered with South African financial service provider Old Mutual Insure to launch an innovative product for buyers and sellers of livestock. Titled VeeSure, the digital insurance product is for both buyers and sellers of livestock and is reportedly a first for the local agricultural sector.

Russel Luck, CEO of SwiftVEE told Venture Burn that, “It’s been a long time coming, but we’re extremely proud to announce the launch of the first digital online livestock insurance in the world. This customer journey is no longer effective in the digital age. As customers increasingly transact online, they need insurance solutions that match the speed and convenience of the primary online transaction (the online purchase and sale).”

According to SwiftVEE, VeeSure is not just a product for the purchase and sale of livestock online and aims to empower buyers and sellers with its easy-to-use online platform. As a fully paperless process, VeeSure ensures that users are able to obtain insurance in record time.

“We’ve seen huge growth in online auctions and this trend has spiked further even after COVID restrictions have ended”. It’s clear that online livestock auctions are here to stay and we’re proud to partner with Africa’s 7th largest company via its subsidiary, Old Mutual Insure, to offer the industry further digital innovations,” Luck added.

SwiftVEE (Livestock) is an agri-platform addressing water scarcity, food security and market efficiency for the livestock sector. It brings the agri-sector into industry 4.0 by offering substantial profit margins that facilitate sustainability and social impact. SwiftVEE has been recognised internationally for technology innovation and shortlisted as one of South Africa’s top 100 most innovative companies (TT100). Its solution provides intuitive data and analytics with capacity to scale globally.

What began as an idea from a university student grew into an award-winning start-up that provides a better way of doing business. Swift Livestock draws on blended skill-sets of agricultural expertise, software engineering, and legal acumen contributed by its founders.
