Thy Kingdom Care Centre Aims To Uplifts Its Community Through Social And Healthcare Services. Thy Kingdom Care Centre is an NPO operation, a drop-in Centre that provides social and health care services to orphans and vulnerable across the Sedibeng District. The organisation has programmes such as caring for Orphans and Vulnerable Children and health care services for HIV/ AIDS infected clients, teenage pregnancy education, adherence support clubs as well as HIV/AIDS counselling and prevention of mother-to-child HIV/Aids transmission.

Thy Kingdom Care Centre is passionate about transforming minds, providing the youth of tomorrow with self-sustenance programmes and life coping tools. Its objective is to help eradicate hunger amongst South Africans, mainly the orphaned and vulnerable in the absence of parents due to the HIV/Aids pandemic. The organisation motivates a positive mindset that unlocks related behaviours in this important next generation.

“It takes a community to raise a child”. These are the words of Thandi Khanyile, founder of the Thy Kingdom Care Centre. Khanyile transformed a dumping site (notorious for being a hiding spot for criminals where many crimes took place) into a drop-in centre after she observed a need for a centre or orphanage in the community to accommodate children who have lost their parents due to the HIV/Aids virus.

The centre now offers so much more, including services such as: Provision of cooked meals for orphans & vulnerable children After school care Food parcel distribution Material Support Educational programmes Sporting activities Adherence club groups HIV/AIDS counselling Teenage pregnancy education Counselling for abused women Prevention of mother-to-child HIV/Aids transmission.

Its vision is to become one of the leading centres for change in South Africa, by providing the highest quality service to the orphaned, the needy and the HIV/Aids community. This type of organisation provides a much needed home to people who are facing different social issues. This organisation has proved that giving back to the community should also be something that is done on a big scale and investment.
