LeGae La Banareng Farms is privately owned commercial mixed farming operation situated in Modimolle, Waterberg District Municipality, Limpopo, which was established in January 2014 by the Moagi family. The diverse nature of this 50ha farm encompasses a prolific mixed farming set-up, incorporating livestock production, crop production, training and apiary.

Its current livestock production projects compromise of breeding Khalahari Goats and Mixed breeding of Boran cattle. Its plant production is a major part of its commercial operation, which entails crops such as maize and sweet grass under central pivots; indigenous green leafy vegetables and herbs, Covo grown under a controlled shadenet greenhouse, and seasonal vegetables in the second. The farm is filled with interesting sights such as geese, chickens, peacocks and pgymy goats, backgrounded by the scenic Modimolle Mountain which adds an atmospheric charm to farming in the bush veld.

Legae La Banareng Farms serves as a platform for growth and experience. The farm’s training platform serves as a tool to assist potential and existing farmers to develop into Agripreneurs who operate viable businesses and equip them with the knowledge of farming in tandem with the fourth industrial revolution. It’s training platform covers most disciplines in primary, secondary and tertiary agriculture. It develops individuals and groups in acquiring skills in technical proficiency, skills in administrative and compliance aspects and lastly, in acquiring the relevant business skills for viability.

Each programme is tailor made and designed to suit the learner and level of achievement. The programme encompasses experiential learning, practical skills programmes, theoretical assessment and on-site development. This enables it to give the learner a holistic learning experience where they are exposed to industry standards and conditions at the level they wish to operate. Each training programme has components that are accredited.
