Thapelo Mokoena’s Nero Moments Wine Brand Gets Nominated For An International Award

South African Actor, Television Producer, Presenter and businessman Thapelo Mokoena took to Twitter to announce that his wine brand Nero Moments has been nominated for the 2021 Drinks Business Awards in the United Kingdom.

The post read, “INCREDIBLE NEWS Just In! Our resilient #BosmanBakoena @NeroMomentsZA grape has been nominated for the 2021 Drinks Business Awards in the United Kingdom. Nominated for BEST LAUNCH into the market. Thank U to @teamdb for the nod CC @WOSA_UK”

The wine brand is a result of the collaboration between Thapelo Mokoena and the Bosman Family Vineyards. The brand is described as the collaboration of diversity and the celebration of unity of the Bosman and Mokoena families.
The wine has Italian heritage that has been brought to the African soil as a resilient wine with modern style. The taste of the wine is described as the most beautiful fruit expression one can think of. Mokena believes that the wine was made for its target market and that it speaks to resilience, speaks to the good fight and speaks to strength, not only of South Africans but for everyone around the world.

The wine is made from the Nero Grape, which is indigenous to Italy. The colour of the grape can be cherry or ruby red, it possesses a perfume scent that is typically winy, fruity and strongly reminiscent of blackberries. It’s flavour can be described as dry, slightly acidic, rounded, warm and full-bodied, with a serving temperature that is ambient.

Now in its 19th year, The Drinks Business Awards have become the most authoritative, internationally respected badge of achievement in the alcoholic drinks industry. This is a chance for outstanding companies and individuals to win high profile recognition in front of some of the industry’s most influential representatives. Nero Moment’s nomination is great thing for a South African wine brand as it will get recognition all around the world and give some shine to the wine industry in the country.
