How The Founder Of Hair Salon Start-Up ‘The San Hair’ Left Her Accounting Profession To Pursue Her Dreams Of Owning A Hair Salon. The San Hair is the brainchild of Nompumelelo Madubedube who started the company out of the frustration of not being able to find good quality hair even though every hair retailer promised to be selling Virgin hair. After successfully running The San Hair part time from the boot of her car, she finally decided to take the plunge and resigned from her 8 – 5 job as an Accountant in one of the big financial institutions in South Africa to pursue this business venture and has never looked back.

The company is now run by a group of ladies who are professional stylists and very passionate about weave/wigs. It’s goal is to bring only the finest human hair available to its customers coupled with providing impeccable service levels during and after the sale has been made. The San Hair has offered human hair exclusively since it was established in 2013 and its team, collectively, has been in the beauty business for over 12 years. The San Hair continued to grow offering a strong online shopping presence and superior customer experience. The company has continued to garner success and has managed to attract celebrities such as Boity Thulo, Thando Thabethe and Blue Mbombo to visit the hair salon for their hair care needs.

The company has specialised machinery that help it manufacture its products locally with the only product that is being imported being the actual raw hair. Everything else is done at its factory in Midrand, the wefting process, the texturing process, wig making and packaging all being done locally.

The San Hair believes that its client’s purchase is an investment and that investment should last and not need replacement a few weeks later. This is why the company only offers the highest quality human hair weave and wigs that are available in the market and continue to provide what its loyal customers what they have come to expect from it over the years.
