DJ Sbu Shares The 10 Year Goal For His Mofaya Brand. South African DJ and entrepreneur DJ Sbu took to Twitter to share the 10 – 20 year goal of his Mofaya beverage brand. He shared this to let people know what the company is working towards and to highlight how it will reach its goals.

The post read, “In 2030 &/or 2040 in South Africa it will cooler to drink @mofaya_official than any other drink. It has already started. Kids are already taking everyday #mofaya selfies & keep their empty cans. It’s surreal what the brand is slowly becoming. The future is too bright for us all”

DJ Sbu founded Mofaya in 2015 along with two business partners, with the aim ofcreating a strong, authentically African-inspired non-alcoholic beverage brand. Since its establishment the brand has grown tremendously in that it now has many partnerships with local wholesalers and retail stores to sell its beverages. It was not easy for the company to achieve this success in such a short period of time. DJ Sbu and his partners initially tried to get wholesalers and retail stores to buy the beverages but they didn’t, so they took a more of an unorthodox marketing strategy of taking the product straight to the streets of South Africa. The DJ began selling Mofaya in the streets and taxi ranks across the country, this received attention from the masses of because of his celebrity status and in turn this made the drink even more popular, thus increasing the demand for it and forcing wholesalers and retail stores to now order the beverages.

The company seeks to become the most popular beverage in South Africa by 2030/2040 and DJ Sbu already believes that the process of the company getting there has already started, since more and more people are getting to know about the product and are willing to support it for various reasons. With the way the company has grown over the past 6 years, it can be said that it will continue to grow and reach its 10 year goal.
