Since its launch in Johannesburg, South Africa on 1 August 2020, Smart Maid has created employment for several maids and baby sitters who now take pride in their profession and from this point going forward it has successfully launched in Lagos, Nigeria. Smart Maid is professionalising the services people need in the house such as maid, babysitting, electrical work, plumbing work etc. The company aims to make this informal sector be recognised as a professional service all over the continent and ultimately the world. This objective will be achieved through the use of technology that enables the service providers to work at their own pace and the users to get services when required.
The Smart Maid app is such that it enables users to make requests on the touch of a button, where needed and when needed. For its client’s assurance, background checks are done on all its service providers to give users peace of mind. Each service provider goes through a rigorous training and induction program, as well as a police clearance check twice a year so users can rest assured that they will be safe throughout the service.
