Home Decor Start-Up Mo’s Crib Founders Explain How Their Partnership With Woolworths Came About. Partnerships or brand collaborations have to be done by brands that understand each other’s target market and purpose so that the partnership can be fruitful. Many brands have been able to thrive due to knowing the strength and weakeness of the brands that they collaborate with.

In an interview with The Insider SA, home décor start-up Mo’s Crib founders Morongwe Mokone and Michelle Mokone shared how their partnership with Woolworths Came about, they said, “Well the collaboration with Woolworths cam about a couple of months ago because when Michelle and I decide to approach them because we knew definitely we were aligned in terms of our values, in terms of our mission, in terms of bringing sustainable products, creating sustainable jobs and bringing authentic products to market and we knew that this was the right, definitely right partnership. We have also been able to reach a wider market with Woolworths, meaning that we no longer just selling to markets in Pretoria and Johannesburg, we are literally reaching the whole of South Africa and this has impacted our revenue streams and we are doing really well.”

The founders explained how this partnership with Woolworths came about and also explained how they are benefiting from the partnership. This shows that the founders are savvy businesswomen as they were able to attain a collaboration with one of the biggest retailers in the country and they made sure to reach their goals. Partnerships with large organisations can be very beneficial to small startups as they will be gaining valuable knowledge and the partnership will allow them to grow and deliver their products or services at a higher level.
