Spanish Clothing Chain Store Zara Opens Its First South African Concept Store. It has been reported that Spanish clothing chain store, Zara has opened its first South African concept store in V&A Waterfront.

The two-floor store, which has woman, man, and kids collections, has a dedicated women’s shoe boutique, the first in a South African store. Zara is a brand that has invested in South Africa through opening its stores here and providing jobs for people. The company is committed to see their footprint in South African increase this is why it is venturing into opening this concept store.

Zara is a well renowned brand that is loved by many people all over the world due to their excellent quality of products. The store provides quality clothing that caters for everyone. The company has also partnered with charity organisation Red Cross South Africa to encourage its customers to donate all the clothes that they don’t use.

Zara is a Spanish apparel retailer based in Arteixo, A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. The company specialises in fast fashion, and products include clothing, accessories, shoes, swimwear, beauty, and perfumes. It is the largest company in the Inditex group, the world’s largest apparel retailer. Zara as of 2017 manages up to 20 clothing collections a year. The store is set to have clothing that caters to men, women and children, the store seeks to include every age group because if the number of customers it can reach.

As a result of increasing competitive pressures from the online shopping market, Zara is shifting its focus onto online as well, and will consequently open fewer but larger stores in the future. Even though this is the case, Zara still invested in opening physical stores in South Africa, which means it see the potential for the brand to grow in the future.
