Founder Of Silulo Technologies Luvuyo Rani Explains How Social Problems Found In Townships Will Drive Innovation. Townships are areas where a lot of social problems exists, this is because these areas are not prioritised in terms of development. In an interview with Living In SA TV, founder of Silulo Technologies Luvuyo Rani explained how social problems found in townships will drive innovation.

He said, “Now young people are seeing that they can be makers of employment, so they want also to become the entrepreneurs that will come from the areas, we still have the external problems, social problems, there is still the legacy of apartheid, that was created in terms of access to market but I can tell you the most important thing, those challenges and problems brings different innovation and different thinking of solving those kind of problems that were created in the past.”

Rani highlights a very important point in that social problems that exist are not supposed to be seen as obstacles that can not be overcome. He wants people to change their perspectives on how they look at the problems that exist in townships and they can be a breakthrough to creating groundbreaking solutions. He believes that as much as there is a lot of talented individuals in townships, these people still need mentors and investment so that they can bring innovation that is of word class quality.
