Founder Of Tech Start-Up Dado, Shai Unterslak Shares How The Company Has Progressed Since It was Established. In an interview on the company’s YouTube page, Shai Unterslak founder and director of Tech Start-Up Dado explained how the company has progressed since it was established.
He said, “We have experienced a lot of growth, Dado is officially a global company, we’ve got people out in Cape Town, Pretoria, Free State, the UK and the Netherlands.” The company has curated South Africa’s best JavaScript developers so that its clients can tap into them full time, with zero admin and zero hiring risk. Dado is lucky enough to work on some of the biggest e-commerce systems in the world, so it has a lot to say about scalability, outsourcing, and optimising systems. From the 1st of December 2021, the Dado team will be joined Yoco on their mission to help African entrepreneurs get paid and thrive.
The company wanted to build something that would help position Africa as the best place in the world to build technology teams. The idea was simple: hire incredibly talented engineers from Africa (mainly SA and NG) and work with them to build great software. Soon after the founders started Dado they felt a pull from the UK, and began focusing exclusively on servicing UK companies. Since starting Dado, they have built tech that has generated its clients hundreds of millions of rands in revenue and supported hundreds of thousands of their customers. The founders had the opportunity to witness first hand, the drive and excellence of African engineers.
Since starting the company in South Africa, the founder have always had aspirations of expanding their business to international markets. This way the company can be able to grow and continue to operate even when it doesn’t have clients here. Luckily Dado has been able to establish itself as a formidable player in the Tech Industry and it has managed to create a credible reputation for itself as one of the fastest growing tech start-ups in the country.
