Founder Of ‘Gazaata’ Itumeleng Mpatlanyana Explains How He Created SA’s First Peer To Peer Online Lending Platform. South African entrepreneur and founder of Gazaata Itumeleng Mpatlanyana explained how he created South Africa’s first peer to peer online lending platform in an interview with Multichoice Group.

He said, “Soweto was once the largest townships, today its often showcased for the progression that some black South Africans have made but social and class divisions exists and not everyone here has access to credit. Gazaata helps marginalised communities access to alternative credit. We connect individuals who need credit to individuals who are willing to lend out their excess fund as an investment and personal loan. We don’t take the lenders money, it’s kept safe in a third party’s trust account and our technology enables us to match the right lender to the right borrower.”

Itumeleng Mpatlanyana is the Founding Director and CEO of gazaataDotCom, a Fintech company that helps South Africa’s emerging market access alternative means of getting credit. gazaataDotCom is South Africa’s first Peer-to-Peer Online Lending Platform. The company connect individuals in need of credit with individuals willing to lend out their excess funds as an investment in personal loans.
