Founder Of Prime Medical Solutions Dr Sihle Asiedu-Darkwah Highlights How The Internet Has Helped In Treating Patients During The Pandemic. The internet provides convenience to a lot of industries as work can be done easily and quickly. In an interview with Multichoice Group, founder of Prime Medical Solutions Dr Sihle Asiedu-Darkwah highlighted how the internet has helped in treating patients during the pandemic.

She said, “The Covid 19 pandemic showed me how much my patients feared exposing themselves and their families, I stared consulting with them virtually via the phone, this experience made me realise how open they were to remote consultation. Our mission is to help people, to consult virtually via phones as we are taking advantage of the high internet penetration in Africa to deliver our mission. We are building a world where access to quality healthcare is a reality for everyone.”

Dr Sihle Asiedu-Darkwah is a general practitioner who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2015 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She founded Prime Medical Solutions Inc in 2020 after witnessing her patients’ fears of the risk of exposure to COVID-19. Her experience ranges from working in the emergency department, virtual consultations, aesthetic procedures and doing medical evacuations world-wide. Dr Sihle believes that her empathy is what differentiates her in her field.

Through digital technology, a lot of industries have been able to integrate remote working into their company policy due to the pandemic. This technology has made it easier for people to conduct business without being close to each other. Meetings can be held virtually and time can be saved so that more tasks can be completed.

Dr Sihle Asiedu-Darkwah was very smart in introducing virtual consultations as this provides convenience to the patient, they are still able to get medical attention without worrying about traveling to the hospital and risk getting infected by Covid-19. This way the doctors would be adhering the pandemic regulations and while the business is still running.
