This pitch will also serve as a resource to assist the school and the community with clean drinking water. We also had the pleasure of having Kaizer Motaung Jnr and Coaches from GSG (Gillash Sports Group) help us scout some local talent in the community who will attend a week-long Atletico De Madrid camp in Cape Town which has been sponsored by our Rustenburg and Boshoek Smelters. We wish the boys the best of luck”

Glencore is one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 responsibly-sourced commodities that advance everyday life. The Group’s operations comprise around 150 mining and metallurgical sites and oil production assets. Glencore and Greenhouse are willing to partner so that they can create something that will have a positive impact on society.

They have partnered not for their financial gain but to make sure that the learners of Selareng Primary School in Rustenburg have proper sports equipment so that they can play and practice on a facility that is conducive. These companies are proving that they not only wanted to build a soccer pitch but to also scout the best players of the school that will attend the week long Atletico De Madrid camp in Cape Town.

To help scout the players, the companies were joined by former Kaizer Chiefs player Kaizer Motaung Jr. and coaches from Gillash Sports Group. This will give the learners inspiration to work hard and earn the trip to Madrid’s camp.
