Moja Chicken Announces Partnership With Controversial ‘Podcast And Chill With Mac G’

Moja Chicken Announces Partnership With Controversial ‘Podcast And Chill With Mac G’. South African fast food startup Moja Chicken took to Twitter to announce that it partnered with ‘Podcast And Chill With Mac G’. The company said that it will be sponsoring the Monday episodes of the Podcast and Chill Network. The post read, “Good day. We are officially one of the sponsors for the Monday episodes of @podcastwithmacg. Danko Is Thank You @Solphendukaa @MacGUnleashed #macg #podcastandchillwithmacg #PodcastAndChill.”

Through this partnership the startup will be advertised on Mac G’s platform so that it can reach their audience. Mac G’s podcast is a platform that gives brands a chance to partner with them, but due to its controversial content and its views regarding certain issues has left it with a lot of partners it pulling out of their partnerships. Companies such as Amstel, Old Mutual and Studio 88 have cancelled their sponsorship of the Podcast due to its content. Moja Chicken chooses to partner with the podcast even though previous sponsors pulled out, this shows that Moja Chicken has its own vision and mission that it seeks to achieve and it sees Mac G’s podcast as something that is part of that vision, but one can never know if this partnership will survive if the podcast trends again for its controversial content.

Moja Chicken is a rising fast food chain that was established by Letlhogonolo Motseeng. The brand has been growing significantly throughout the years since it was established, more recently it managed to expand its operations to other regions of the country. With the vision it is pursuing, the company understands that it needs to have solid partnerships that are mutually beneficial as this will bring growth in the business.

This partnership also signifies how black owned startups or businesses can partner to uplift their businesses so that they can continue to grow, Moja Chicken is looking at this sponsorship as a business opportunity as it will be growing its reach to more South Africans.
