The World’s Largest Start-Up Competition She Loves Tech Opens Its 2021 Applications. She Loves Tech, the world’s largest start-up competition for women and technology, has opened applications for its seventh edition, which is offering prizes of up to US$50,000. She Loves Tech is an international non-profit organisation committed to closing the funding gap for women entrepreneurs, and building an ecosystem for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation that creates opportunities for women.

“She Loves Tech 2021 is more than a competition, it’s an acceleration platform designed to take women-led and women impact start-ups to the next level,” co-founder of She Loves Tech, Leanne Robers told Disrupt Africa. She Loves Tech is an international non-profit organisation that is committed to closing the funding gap for women entrepreneurs. It runs the world’s largest start-up competition for women and technology. The organisation seeks out and accelerates the best entrepreneurs and technology for transformative impact. Its aim is to unlock over U$1B in capital by 2030 for women-led businesses.

Entrepreneurs are selected via a vigorous process. The company collects data meticulously to understand each start-up’s needs from the ground up. Finalist start-ups are intensively mentored and coached on strategy, business plan, and pitching to prepare them for the competition. It accelerates start-ups with community support, educational tools and customised services based on their needs. This includes investor matching, business strategy, and fundraising advisory.

According to Disrupt Africa, She Loves Tech, runs the world’s largest start-up competition for women and technology, seeking out and accelerating the best entrepreneurs and technology for transformative impact. This year’s edition will be held across more than 40 countries. Fundraising will be front and centre of the event, with participating start-ups offered one-on-one time with leading VCs, mentoring hours, and direct cash and investment prizes throughout the series.
