Drip Footwear Celebrates Its 4th Anniversary With The Release Of New Sneakers. South African Footwear startup, Drip has announced the launch of its new sneakers as it is celebrating its 4th anniversary. The company states that this release represents a rebirth of the brand as it has grown to be more than just a sneaker brand, as it is now an innovation house that develops cutting edge products in both footwear and Sports Lifestyle apparel. The company took to its social media platforms to make the announcement. 

In an Instagram post, the company said, “The Evolution of the Township Dream. Born in the streets, raised in the hearts of sneaker enthusiasts nationwide, our journey began with a dream to create footwear that would not only elevate style but also empower individuals to chase their dreams fearlessly. Our REBIRTH is more than just a new logo or redefined designs – it’s a celebration of our commitment to progress and the unbreakable bond we’ve built with each one of you. 4 Years Later, we have now grown to being more than just a sneaker brand. But an innovation house that develops cutting edge products in both footwear and Sports Lifestyle apparel. Drip Footwear is a Sneaker Brand created by Lekau Sehoana after growing up in poverty and not having shoes. He created his own shoes using old torn sneakers. 16 Years later he went commercial and created Drip. The Brand is an Athleisure and Lifestyle Brand that features  retail stores. The company’s aim is to inspire and create employment using its story and brand.

The founder of the company Lekau Sehoana said in a statement, “2 years after we started DRIP, we started looking inside and outside of what we were doing. And we asked ourselves a lot of questions, Will the Lifestyle aspect of our business be sustainable to what we do? And the answer was not a solid answer, so we started changing our strategy to suit a business that can last over 100 years. The answers were, building a brand that’s more competitive to the bigger global markets, with possibilities of us also going Global. We had to re-do a few aspects of how our Brand was positioned, what it offers and how it communicates. Those are the things we worked on and built a Strategy. From within, we started seeing change as the brand could also live outside a normal drip store into other retailers. Meaning we were able to build a brand competitive enough to be sold anywhere. A product diversification was also one of the few things we strategised on. Now, you’re going to see our Performance and Active Apparel, including Performance Sneakers.
