McCain South Africa Recalls Its Green Beans And Spar-brand Frozen Stir Fry Products Due To Glass Fragments. McCain South Africa has announced that it is recalling its green beans and Spar-brand frozen stir fry due to glass Fragments that where detected in the products.
The company said on its website, “At McCain Foods South Africa, we adhere to the highest local and international health and safety standards and are committed to producing and bringing only the best, quality food to the tables of all South Africans. As always, consumer safety is our top priority, and as such, McCain South Africa is currently conducting a voluntary public product recall, nationwide. This follows reports that fragments of foreign material had been detected in specific bags of frozen sliced green beans and stir fry.”

McCain South Africa reiterates that stringent measures have been put in place to address the situation and a formal block has also been issued across its cold chain and its relevant networks, and all potentially impacted stock has been removed from retail shelves.
