SA Entrepreneur Mashudu Modau Announces The Closure Of His Podcast Studio. South African entrepreneur Mashudu Modau took to Twitter to announce that the Lutcha Podcast Studio is closing, this comes after a year of being in the podcasting industry.
The post read, “After a year of podcasting we’ve decided to close down our studio. A lot of lessons learnt, great work done and some beautiful energies shared. Thank you to everyone who made this a beautiful experience. The journey continues.” Lutcha is an unconventional guide for the African millennial way of living, the company was founded in 2019 and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. It’s commitment is to create empowering, engaging & valuable digital content, to build immersive audio experiences for African millennial audiences. The company’s mission was to enable creators through tools and resources that help them build the things they believe in.
Through narrative journalism & researched content, the company would use audio to create empowering & engaging content of value. It’s current portfolio includes five podcasts that are consumed by a growing audiences across 20 countries. It’s subject matter is diverse includes; entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, mental health & fitness. Lutcha Creative, it’s creative agency division, develops high quality custom audio & visual content in partnership with brands.
The podcast studio offered services such as podcast recording, podcast editing and production, content development and iteration. It seeks to give people who aspire to enter the podcasting industry but don’t have the proper equipment to produce quality content. Modau shared that running the studio was a great experience as a lot of work was done and a lot of great lessons were learnt.
