It was formed with the purpose of partnering with companies in order to reduce unemployment and upskill the youth of South Africa.

Atvance Academy’s goal is to give young unemployed South Africans the chance at a better life. As a 80% black-owned, level 1 B-BBEE and SETA-accredited organisation, the company believes that education and skills development are the best way to bring down unemployment. That’s why it partners with companies to offer sponsored and SETA accredited skills training to young, unemployed South Africans. We work with community leaders, community centres, libraries and schools to help open campuses in their local areas. This allows the institution to make education affordable and convenient and brings it closer to its goal of training 80 000 learners a year.

Further to this, the company is also affiliated with the government’s National Skills Development Plan, which allows organisations to implement skills development training while optimising their B-BBEE points.
