SA Football Club Supersport United Announces Its Partnership With Thirsti

SA Football Club Supersport United Announces Its Partnership With Thirsti. South African football club Supersport United took to Twitter to announce that it has partnered with South African spring water brand Thirsti. The post read, “CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT Proud South African spring water brand, THIRSTI confirm the #UltimateHydration of SuperSport United Football Club.”

Supersport United CEO Stan Matthew’s said in a statement, “Quality hydration is an absolute essential for prime performance. We’re extremely pleased to partner with a supportive brand that backs South African sport, understands our athlete’s and goes above and beyond to ensure that every player at every level will be rewarded with Mother Nature’s best. I am particularly pleased with their ISOFIT+ range: Lower in sugar than other sports drinks, the high carbohydrate, high sodium electrolyte-fuelled sports drink has been scientifically formulated to assist professional athletes. This partnership absolutely makes sense, and we’re honoured that THIRSTI chose us as their soccer brand of choice.”

THIRSTI is a uniquely sourced natural spring water that is rich in minerals and sourced from two extraordinary locations. Its primary bottling plant was founded in 2015 at a Normandien farm in the foothills of the Klein Drakensberg mountains. In 2021, THIRSTI expanded operations into the mountain basin of Tulbagh, surrounded by exquisite mountains and drained by the Klein Berg River and its tributaries. Each source has its own state-of-the-art bottling plant where the water is filtered, tested and bottled, ready to be enjoyed by consumers.

THIRSTI Managing Director Rob Hoatson said in a statement, “As a brand, the plan wasn’t to announce until the new season. But last night’s crucial 2-0 victory sees the team ride the crest of a wave – and we’re riding right with them! Their hard work has paid off: The club is professional and passionate with a patriotism for a podium finish from pipeline to professional. We believe that our sports sponsorship portfolio is indicative of the THIRSTI brand and the fact that we’re proud of the athlete’s we back, their health and their goals – and that as a brand, we’re behind them through and through.”
