Silicon Cape Announces Its Partnership With Huawei Cloud South Africa. South African initiative Silicon Cape took to Twitter to announce that it has partnered with Huawei Cloud South Africa in order to provide entrepreneurs and startups with a platform to grow their ideas.

The post read, “We are proud to announce our collaboration with @4AfricaCloudThis is an opportunity to provide entrepreneurs and startups with a platform to grow their innovative ideas, thus contributing to the growth of the country’s economy.”

Director-General, National Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services, South Africa Mr. Robert Nkuna said in a statement, “Huawei Cloud has been a great technology partner to our country, and they have regularly brought cutting edge technologies to our shores. We’ll engage Huawei Cloud to transfer cloud technology skills to SA and the continent. We are convinced that we can fast track our development if we work in partnership with other stakeholders.” 

This partnership will bring a series of Cloud Community Masterclasses and Roundtables to local startups with the purpose of increasing the level of understanding of Cloud services. Huawei Cloud South Africa region allows organizations operating inside South Africa and its neighbouring countries to access lower-latency, reliable, and secure cloud services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), and Object Storage Service (OBS).

With over 30 years of business and technical competence in ICT infrastructure, solutions and products, Silicon Cape believes that Huawei provides reliable, secure, and sustainable cloud services to customers worldwide and it is very excited for the journey that lies ahead with this partnership.
