The BMI Coverland Roofing Academy Launches In Roodepoort. The BMI Coverland Roofing Academy was launched to the industry at its training venue in Roodepoort on Wednesday. Attendees included amongst others roleplayers from the banking and insurance industry, property managers and key stakeholders from the hardware retail sector.
Outlining the vision for the BMI Coverland Roofing Academy, Dewald Nortje (Managing Director, BMI Coverland) reiterated that Building new horizons is not limited to the company’s products, systems and services, but also its employees, customers and communities. “Leveraging the Coverland brand to make a positive impact on people, whilst allowing our customers to provide a premium roofing experience to their customers”. said JJ Conradie BMI Coverland Roofing Academy’s Managing Director.
JJ Conradie, echoed this by adding “We believed in creating a sustainable, professional roofing industry by formalising the skill requirements and providing roofers with an opportunity to grow and progress their careers”. The overall response from those that attend was extremely positive and it was noted how this initiative will grow the roofing industry into a professional trade with accredited installers.
The company is the first and only accredited training provider in South Africa who can offer its clients the chance to get a national certificate in waterproofing. This qualification was established with the intention to upskill and grow the Roof repair and waterproofing industry.
