South African entrepreneur Mashudu Modau took to Twitter to share which ‘Communities Of Entrepreneurs helped to shape his entrepreneurial journey. Modau also highlighted the importance of being part of such communities as an entrepreneur.

The post read, “Communities of entrepreneurs and creators really can change your journey. The Hookup Dinner, Startup Grind and later on Yoco Meets became a place of belonging where I could share, learn and grow with people doing incredible work. Join a good community. It helps.”

Modau highlights how important it is for an entrepreneur to have a community of entrepreneurs that they can join in order to have people around them that are going through a similar journey to theirs. This will provide an entrepreneur with a support structure or system that will be able to advice and give constructive criticism about their business, thisj will in turn keep the entrepreneur on their toes and always seeking to improve.

Modau is an entrepreneur that has managed to build successful businesses, he shares that entrepreneur communities such as ‘The Hookup Dinner, Startup Grind and Yoco Meets where places he felt like he belonged. He also learned a lot from these communities as he was able to share, learn and grow around people who are passionate about their businesses as much as he is about his.

Having a mentor has helped a lot of entrepreneurs as they will be given sound advice from experienced individuals. These individuals have already experienced starting and building a business, so they know how to navigate the business world so that the business can have a better chance of being successful. This initiative is beneficial for everyone involved as everyone will be learning form others and acquiring new information or skills they can implement in their business.
