How The Tea Merchant Seeks To Provide Its Clients With A Variety Of Quality Tea

How The Tea Merchant Seeks To Provide Its Clients With A Variety Of Quality Tea. Established in 2009 after two years of searching for the best teas The Tea Merchant commenced importing tea into South Africa some three years ago in order to satisfy a small group of tea lovers.

This has grown into a business today that is passionate about quality tea, teapots and accessories, supplying the tea trade as well as the gift sector with top quality products that are not exorbitant. The tea merchant can make specific recommendations on tea ranges to be served both privately as well as for restaurants, health spas and tearooms. Private tastings can be arranged, corporate gift sets of both teas and teapots are also available.

Teas are imported primarily from China with a predominance of teas from Fujian Province, although teas from other areas are also available. Small ranges of tasting tea sets as well as travelling tea sets are stocked. All products are packaged suitably for airfreight or overland shipping. “We have pensioners, students and children who enjoy our different tea flavors. Tea isn’t gender, race or age specific. Individuals who are experimental with their tea and tea flavors love and live in our stores.” Ditshego Sedikela told SME South Africa.

“We use mainstream advertising and marketing channels. We also supply our teas to a couple of restaurants and word of mouth has been key to getting our brand known,” Sedikela added.
