Black-Owned SME Chuck Chilli Seeks To Provide A Unique Sauce To The Market

Black-Owned SME Chuck Chilli Seeks To Provide A Unique Sauce To The Market. Chuck Chilli is a company that seeks to make a delicious bottled chilli relish condiment that is unlike any sauces or atchaars on the market. The company’s product is made from the freshest chillies and other vegetables and it does not add any artificial preservatives, salt or sugar.

The products are also Halaal approved and have a tested 6-8 month shelf life. The chilli is a ready to eat condiment product that can be used in cooking, to add that zing to a salad or give a dip a kick. The company sells through flea markets and retail stores and are in over 40 stores in 4 provinces which include Spar’s, Pick n Pay, Meat World, Spice Shops, Butcheries and Restaurants. It also sells on its website and on Takealot and can deliver nationally.

The company waz founded by Boikano Sikwane, she told Lionesses Of Africa that, “We had popular chillies that we made for family and friends. It would be added to different side dishes as well as eaten on its own. After much encouragement, the business was founded in 2019. It’s the chunkiness of it. Most chilli products are sauces unlike our Chuck Chilli. It is also versatile to use, as a cook-in or as a side condiment. The secret spice mix is what ultimately makes it different. We also do not use any artificial preservatives, nor do we add extra sugar or salt.”

Sikwane said her and her business partner, Tshepiso Manyoha each bring different and complementary strengths to the business. They split duties between themselves and focus on growing the business in a sustainable manner. She believes they both have a similar vision for the business, which is focused on long-term growth and development.
