Today marks a milestone at Madica as it unveils its initial investments in three pioneering startups: Kola Market, GoBEBA, and Newform Foods. With each receiving up to $200,000, these companies are now integral to Madica’s mission of transforming Africa’s tech landscape.

Newform Foods is leveraging a continent-spanning research and development network to help food producers, retailers and business owners develop and scale cultivated animal products, at a significantly lower cost than the industry norm. The company represents the convergence of cost-efficiency and pioneering science. Through its cutting-edge bioplatform and tailored solutions, including media development, cell line creation, and bioreactor plans, it aims to be its clients’ partners in constructing the future of food!

Madica provides the founders with 18 months of structured support through world-class mentorship, executive coaching, peer-to-peer learning, immersion trips, access to global networks and investors, and tools to supercharge their startup’s growth.

Since Madica’s inception in 2022, alongside its affiliate Flourish Ventures, it has committed to bridging the gap for underrepresented founders and catalysing change across the continent. This year, it aims to expand its reach, planning to invest in up to ten additional startups.
