How Nomakade Seeks To Drive A Different Narrative About Natural Hair

How Nomakade Seeks To Drive A Different Narrative About Natural Hair. Nomakade is a company that was created to be family friendly, for as young as three (3) month old infants, mothers, fathers, grand mothers and grandfathers. The company prides itself in caring and nurturing for natural hair, its aim is to encourage self-confidence and self-love especially for young girls and women alike.

The company’s mission is to familiarize young black girls with their beautiful natural coils. But also, to inspire them how to best care for their hair. Natural hair is often referred to as “difficult” to manage and that is simply a notion Nomakade seeks to destroy. Black hair was always viewed as a problem, instead of the “naturally flexible elegance” it truly is. The company wants to continue generating a passion for nurturing natural coily hair; confidence and pride to go along with it.

Natural Haircare does not claim to have all the answers, but Nomakade seeks to drive a different narrative for the black African child to look up to. The company believes that a black girl child or woman does not need a weave, wig or relaxer to fell beautiful. The founder of the company said, “I started this company in 2014 and it was absolute serendipity. I was frustrated with the natural hair products I found at the stores so I started to make my own products and before I knew it I had people calling me for products.

“I am a self taught formulator and manufacturer. I needed to understand the ingredients I was working with so I made sure I personally saw to my formulations and the manufacturing of products. NOMAKADE™ has been selling to clients all over South Africa since 2015; word of mouth has been my biggest asset. Now, with vim and vigour I hopes to reach lots of South Africans and I want to help nurture and help you to celebrate your Naturally Flexible Elegance.”
