The BRICS WBA Announces The BRICS Women’s StartUps Contest 2024! The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance SA Team has announced the BRICS Women’s StartUps Contest 2024. The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance SA Team is excited to extend an invitation to all South African women entrepreneurs, to participate in the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest under the 2024 Russia Presidency of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance.
This contest aims to identify and promote women’s startups across BRICS plus member countries, encouraging participation in entrepreneurial activities and fostering innovation in various sectors (IT, Ecology, Artificial Intelligence, Innovations and Infrastructure, Education, Food Security and Agriculture, Healthcare.)

The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance is a business network for female entrepreneurs in BRICS countries. The initiative of establishing the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (WBA) was proposed at the First International Women’s Congress of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS member states on July 4, 2017. In the framework of the Russian BRICS Chairmanship, the Inaugural Meeting of the BRICS WBA took place on July 20, 2020.
Through strategic partnerships, capacity building initiatives, and policy advocacy, the WBA aims to eliminate barriers that hinder women’s economic participation and progression.
