Foundever™ Announces Opening Of New Location In Cape Town, South Africa. Foundever™, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, has committed to hiring approximately 3,000 employees by 2026 to support its first contact centre in South Africa, located in Cape Town. This is in addition to the 800 employees already hired since the operation was opened in June last year.
This target was announced at a grand opening celebration held at its V&A Waterfront offices. The event was attended by Foundever global executive team members Laurent Uberti (President, CEO and co-founder); Olivier Camino (Global COO and co-founder) and Jag Dhanji (Chief People Officer). James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth in the City of Cape Town and Mireille Wenger, Provincial Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities in the Western Cape Government also joined the event.
This new operation in South Africa supports the company’s mission to provide digital-first CX solutions and additional English-language support for its growing client portfolio. Foundever is passionate about becoming the world’s most diverse and inclusive CX provider and is proud to have appointed Nita Morgan as Country Manager of its South African operation, which makes her the first female leader of an international BPO in the country.
“I began my career in a contact centre immediately after leaving high school, just over 20 years ago, and so I can truly appreciate how this industry can offer a career path for young people”, said Nita Morgan. “I am excited to be part of this amazing opportunity to take the CX industry in South Africa to the next level with the support of our multinational team. Our goal in South Africa is to become the employer of choice for people wanting to build a career in the BPO industry – we are not just creating jobs, we are launching careers”.
“That the Cape Town contact centre is already servicing eight of our clients highlights what an in-demand market South Africa is”, said Karl Brough, General Manager for the United Kingdom, Ireland & South Africa, Foundever. “With our dedication to delivering exceptional results for our clients, we look forward to continuing expanding our footprint in the country in the years to come”.
Alderman James Vos welcomed the opening of a Foundever hub: “Through the City’s Special Purpose Vehicle, Cape BPO, we have focused on marketing Cape Town as a leading CX industry destination. We are proud to have helped facilitate the establishment of the new Foundever office in the Mother City, with Cape BPO contact centre trainees also being employed in the company’s new workforce. We aim to add another 10,000 jobs to the 90,000 already supported by the CX industry in Cape Town by June this year and are thrilled that Foundever will help us reach this target.”
Minister Mireille Wenger also welcomed Foundever to the region: “The decision for Foundever to establish roots here is a testament to faith in the province as a hub of talent and opportunity. The Western Cape Government’s ‘Growth For Jobs’ economic action plan aims to create an enabling environment where companies like Foundever can thrive and are supported to drive the kind of breakout economic growth we need to uplift our people. The commitment of Foundever goes beyond business expansion; it’s a commitment to our people, to providing careers that offer more than just a paycheck—careers that offer dignity, growth, and a pathway out of poverty.”
By entering South Africa, Foundever continues its expansion strategy, solidifying its position as a global leader in digital, scalable solutions.
