The company was founded by Sbusiso Buna. He also currently serves as the CEO of this multi-award winning startup based in South Africa. Buna has successfully launched and led several ventures, initially by founding and leading the University of Pretoria Consulting Society. He subsequently held the position of Executive Manager of the University of Pretoria Business Incubator, where his team redesigned and implemented the business and operating model.

The company’s focus is to improve graduate employability by ensuring all students have the skills they need to enter, stay in, and progress in the world of work. Its ecosystem provides employers with access to vetted diverse & youthful talent, students with more employment opportunities and universities with data-driven insights aimed at driving graduate employability forward. The company has also partnered with 8 higher education institutions and has over 30 000 students in its database.

Jobox has been selected out of 254 companies as South Africa’s most promising young innovators at the #MeetTheToshikas programme, led by @UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub! The “Meet the Tôshikas” program, launched by UNDP through its Africa Sustainable Finance Hub (ASFH) with support from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), began with applications from 256 startups. After a rigorous selection process involving desk research, interviews, field visits, ecosystem events, and a 3-week Bootcamp, the program aims to foster investment readiness and attract venture capital to Africa.
