Grindstone Partners With MIC To Empower Black Female Entrepreneurs

Grindstone Partners With MIC To Empower Black Female Entrepreneurs. Grindstone in collaboration with MIC have announced a specialised partnership programme that aims to foster the growth of high-growth, innovation-driven, black woman-owned startups.

Grindstone, as a Growth Engineer, has grown startups into scaleups in South Africa and beyond over the last decade and continues handpicking the most promising ventures and supercharging their trajectory with access to critical resources – Knowledge, Networks, Funding, and Markets. Once onboard, startups and scaleups will undergo Grindstone’s rigorous growth engineering programme, meticulously architected to make them highly attractive to investors, scalable, and primed for successful exits.

Together with the Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC), Grindstone is selecting four innovative, black female-owned startups that are driven to grow and succeed. If your business is based in South Africa, 51% or more female-founded, and growing eXponentially, you could qualify for guaranteed funding and market access. If you meet the criteria and would like to join the latest edition of the GrindstoneX programme, apply now: https://lnkd.in/dzjzBhNc

To optimise the application process, the programme will need a deep dive into your business details. This might require you to share documentation regarding your financials, company registration, and certifications during the application phase. Remember, you can hit pause on your application at any time, save your responses (top right corner), and come back to it whenever you’re ready.

The assessment is not an elimination exercise, but a discovery process to understand you and your business more intimately. Over the last decade the programme has learnt that the most authentic application forms are those where it can get a real feel for the business, as that helps it to determine how bespoke its interventions need to be for the applicant. The programme’s approach is not a one-size fits all, but rather a very structured bespoke solution per company. So when you complete this assessment, give the data as it is. The programme can’t help the perfect ones, the ones who don’t need customers or funders or networks. It can only help those who need help, and your assessment results will enable it to help you.
